The Code.

I program. You care.

OK, because my page wasn't sufficiently circulary-recursive, here's a link to one of my old projects, the SDL display module for Angband.

Another recent bit of foolery is my hacking on the OSwan emulator, which emulates the WonderSwan color. I was mostly working to make this emulator fully portable. I got it working on ia32 Linux. There's another person hacking on this project, he's actually fixed some serious bugs in OSwan.

Here are some neat projects around the internet: Ruby, a cool language project from Japan. Python, another language project. SDL, API for graphics, sound, and other game-like programming. wxPython, a cool GUI module for Python. O'Caml, another cool language project. Cygwin, tries to emulate unix on windows, sort of.

For a while, Cam and I worked on a 3D engine.
If you want, you can download 3dthingy.zip to see what the old engine did. It might not work under Win, I don't remember. It used 320x200 Mode-X with page flipping. It had basic 3D stuff, and some shading.
We tried rewriting the engine in a combination of C and Assembly that was so braindamaged that it produced att2intl, a utility to translate GCC's assembly output into Intel syntax for NASM or TASM. Att2intl was the only useful thing to eventually come out of the effort...
Here's the old 3D engine with Gouraud shading implemented. I hacked the Gouraud shading into the code in one moutain dew-fueled night of fury and inspiration. yeah.
Here's our intro from the 1997 ERHS RP Symposium. Coded in haste but still neat, here it is: Download it.

Now, by popular demand (or something like that), the code to the 3D engine is available under the GNU General Public License. I don't expect development of this project to continue but at least your morbid curiosity will now be satisfied.

Here are some more broken links. This is all about broken links.
www.scene.orgCurrent "home" of the demoscene, one could say.
x2ftp.oulu.fi This site is full of great stuff, at least on programming.
PC Demos Explained This page has good information about the demo scene, and many good demos available for download.
Ftp.CDRom.Com Files. Many files.
